Agency recognized by Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for excellence in creative work
BOSTON (December 20, 2016) – 451 Marketing today announced it received a total of eight Davey Awards in the international awards program’s 12th season. The fully-integrated, marketing, advertising, and communications agency was recognized by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) out of nearly 4,000 entries from around the world to receive one gold and seven silver awards for its creative work across an impressive roster of clients.
“To be recognized for multiple projects by such a prestigious organization was a thrill and honor for our team,” said Michael Tiedemann, executive vice president and creative director at 451 Marketing. “Our creative approach is always to come up with integrated ideas that can work in any medium. Earning eight Davey Awards for campaigns across a range of categories is a strong testament to our team’s dynamic style and incredible synergy with our clients.”
“On behalf of the Davey Awards and our Academy, we want to applaud this year’s entrants and winners for their dedication and commitment to their craft. We offer our congratulations once again for the exceptional work they submitted,” said Linda Day, executive director of the Davey Awards. “The winners in this year’s competition truly reflect the notion of small agencies executing big ideas. The work entered into this year's Daveys portrays the smart approach to creativity that embodies the capabilities and talents of small firms across the world.”
The agency’s gold award-winning billboard for Santa’s Village was an extension of the themed outdoor adventure park’s silver award-winning TV commercial. The 451 team took an integrated approach to the seasonal campaign, with a focus on changing audience perception that the park is primarily a winter destination. After conducting intelligent consumer research and solidifying a marketing strategy , the team landed on the concept of juxtaposing Christmas carol lyrics with images of family fun for its winning design. In total, the agency received recognition for the following 2016 projects:
Santa's Village – Gold for Design/Print in Outdoor/Environmental-Billboard
Santa's Village – Silver for Commercial in Commercial-Entertainment
Appalachian Mountain Club – Silver for Websites in Websites-Green/Eco-Friendly
OMNX Technologies Inc. – Silver for Design/Print in Corporate Identity-Logos
