Top 5 apps for Super Bowl XLV

Super Bowl XLV is right around the corner and fans will be tethered to their mobile devices during the game.

In the spirit of the game, Mobile Marketer searched the application stores to find which apps are great companions for the Super Bowl. Here is what we came up with.

NFL?s Super Bowl XLV
The Super Bowl XLV application is the NFL?s official guide to the game. It is meant to be users? mobile companion for the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

Consumers can use the app to navigate a 3D map of North Texas and discover places to eat and drink. They can also browse Cowboys Stadium and find parking, concessions and restrooms. The app has check-in functionality, so users can see who is checking-in and where.

Users can find and attend the official Super Bowl Week Events.

Dominos Pizza app
Mobile Marketer thought long and hard about what guys do during the Super Bowl. They eat pizza and wings. What better way to start a Super Bowl party than whipping out a mobile phone and ordering Dominos?

The Domino's app takes ordering to the next level. With more than 1.8 billion pizza combinations, plus pastas, desserts and wings, the app proves that the way into a man?s heart is through his stomach.

Users can customize their own pizza, design an order, choose pick up or delivery and track exactly when the order is ready in store or when it's going to arrive.

ESPN Radio iPhone app
For football fanatics who are not able to glue themselves to their televisions, ESPN Radio is a great way to get in-the know about the game.

With live radio station streams, listeners can hear live-play-by-play broadcasts of the Super Bowl.

Users have access to live audio from fan favorite shows like Mike & Mike in the Morning, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, The Scott Van Pelt Show, Mason & Ireland and many more.

With the SportsCenter Updates, users get the latest news from SportsCenter updated every 20 minutes with additional news from ESPN's local sites.

Listeners will be able to receive alerts for up to the minute breaking news.

Super Bowl Squares
This app lets users pick the best squares for their Super Bowl squares pool.

Based on actual 1994-2010 pro football game data, the app gives users the squares most likely to win and their expected payouts.

Users can customize the payouts to match the details of their particular game.

During the game, users of the app can update the score to see which squares are now the favorites.

AdBowl
With the AdBowl app, consumers can rate the commercials aired during the Super Bowl.

Users have a say in which advertisers wasted millions, and which ones will hold their heads high as they are carried off the field as the 2011 AdBowl champions.

Additionally, users can share their favorite commercials with friends right inside of the application.
