Pizza Hut debuts new mobile customer promo

Pizza Hut Inc. today breaks its first mobile customer promotion for this year with the launch of the "Snap for Rewards" campaign for the Chinese market in Asia.

The Dallas-based pizza chain will let consumers use their mobile phones to take snapshots of MyClick-enabled images printed on Pizza Hut promotional materials for discounts and prizes. It is using MyClick Media's mobile marketing platform.

Consumers who install the MyClick software on their phones can download Pizza Hut promotional coupons via the MyClick WAP page at

The campaign will run through April 2. A similar effort for the United States is planned.

The news comes less than 10 days after Pizza Hut became the first pizza chain to offer both text messaging and mobile Web ordering options on a nationwide basis.

The company's "Total Mobile Access" service adds a mobile component to online ordering, which is already one of the most popular segments of Pizza Hut's business (see story).
