Artificial Life launches 3G mobile poker game
Artificial Life Inc. has launched Chips Unlimited: Texas Hold-em game, the first in a mobile casino series to be released by the mobile game developer.
Other mobile games will be released later to comprise a full array of casino-style entertainment that will link online with mobile phone gaming.
"Poker games are very popular globally right now," said Eberhard Schoneburg , chairman/CEO of Artificial Life, Inc. "We are actually preparing a whole series of Casino games, of which Poker is just the first one. There is a lot of demand for such games and they are always on top of the global sales rankings."
Artificial Life is a Hong Kong-based mobile game developer, distributor and leading provider of 3G/3D content and technology. It also has offices in Berlin and Tokyo, and provides mobile TV, content, games and business applications.
Gamers can compete against many different avatars of varying skill levels when playing Chips Unlimited. Each character in Texas Hold-em has its own artificial intelligence. In the upcoming multiplayer version, players can compete against others through a server connection or alternatively with those in close proximity using Bluetooth.
The game allows both online and mobile gamers to compete in real-time via their mobile phone using 3G technology. It will be available at www.botme.com for off-deck sales and also globally through major carriers.
The game supports most of the recent 3G handsets and many 2.5G handsets.
"We expect the multiplayer version to hit the market by mid 2008," Mr. Schoneburg said. "I think a very appealing feature will be the option to allow online and mobile players to compete against each other in live events. The marketing strategy is the same as for the current single player version."
