Pro Football Weekly goes mobile

Pro Football Weekly, providers of NFL coverage, has gone mobile and has been added to Crisp Wireless' roster of premier publishers.

The mobile site at http://m.profootballweekly.com, created by Crisp Wireless, launched yesterday during the 2009 NFL Playoffs. The Pro Football Weekly mobile site features the industry-leading content PFW has been delivering for more than 40 years in print, through radio/television programming and online at profootballweekly.com.

"The PFW site is designed to provide in-depth analysis of the NFL to mobile users in an ad-supported model," said Andy Sullivan, vice president of client services for Crisp Wireless, New York. "NFL fans need game-time information and analysis where ever they go for their fantasy, gambling, or just team info needs."

Crisp Wireless is a provider of mobile publishing and advertising services for leading media and entertainment companies.

This new mobile site will be an extension of PFW's Internet site. It will include the most recent NFL headlines, behind-the-scenes reports on trends and rumors around the league, in-depth game previews and predictions, and expert analysis for fantasy football players.

The mobile site also will feature top blogs including Around the NFL, Road to the Draft, Super Bowl XLIII, Finding Paydirt (fantasy football) and Covering the Spread (handicapping).

Content on the mobile site is updated regularly with up-to-date football information for fans leading up to Super Bowl XLIII and kicking off the 2009 season with the NFL Draft.

In addition to building and powering the mobile site, Crisp Wireless will provide mobile ad serving, campaign management and supplemental ad sales support to maximize Pro Football Weekly's mobile advertising revenue.

Crisp Wireless is powering other well-known mobile sites.

For example, leading celebrity news site People.com launched People.com Mobile.

People.com tapped Crisp Wireless to create People.com Mobile. The new People.com Mobile Web site also provides added depth to Crisp Wireless' Entertainment News channel.

Crisp is also powering sites like the Huffington Post, Perez Hilton Mobile and National Geographic.

"PFW has chosen the best content for the mobile medium for the mobile site, and Crisp has optimized this content through intuitive UI, device-specific pagination, and Web 2.0 sharing options," Mr. Sullivan said.
