Fox Reality Channel goes mobile

Fox Reality Channel is heating up this fall with the debut of the first Apple iPhone mobile video service to feature reality-only content.

The mobile service is aimed at keeping reality fans engaged, by enabling them to access their exclusive programming anytime and anywhere. It claims to be the first and only service to deliver mobile video for Fox Reality Channel, and includes opportunities for targeted, mobile advertising.

"From the Fox Reality perspective we produce a lot of original content," said Ed Skolarus, vice president of business and operations at the Fox Reality Channel. "We believe reality has to be everywhere.

"It is high-engagement content," he said. "We picked the iPhone because it is a video-centric device."

Fox Reality Mobile is available now and can be directly accessed on iPhones and smartphones either online at http://www.foxreality.com or at http://mvideo.foxreality.com.

Mobile users can view behind-the-scenes clips and bonus content from Fox Reality Channel Original Series, "Battle of the Bods", "2008 Fox Reality Channel Really Awards", "Solitary", "The Academy", "Gimme My Reality Show!", "Reality Binge", and "Night Club Confessions."

In addition, users will be able to share their favorite video content mobile-to-mobile with a send-to-friend feature, as well as save their favorites and search for more Fox Reality Channel videos.

The mobile video content is made possible through the use of Transpera's Bridge System and advertising platform.

Transpera's technology couples content and targeted ads to make the experience seamless for the user and offers advertisers the ability to imbed their messages in a variety of formats.

Fox Reality Channel launched in May 2005. Fox Reality Channel is the only all-reality, all-the-time television channel featuring compelling original programming and never-before-seen U.S. premieres of international reality hits.

Transpera provides a platform for monetizing Web videos on mobile phones.

"Giving the reality fan access anywhere on their terms is our goal," Mr. Skolarus said. "Given the ease of use of the iPhone, combined with the ad delivery abilities of Transpera, we believe that the experience of the user will be exceptional."

Reality fans everywhere will receive real-time updated information along with new and exciting reality content on a daily basis.

"We're thrilled to work with Fox Reality Channel and believe by blending video delivery with seamless ad integration, mobile users will come away with an enjoyable video experience that partners can monetize," said Frank Barbieri, founder/CEO of Transpera.
