FCC asks AT&T for more details on T-Mobile acquisition
The FCC is asking AT&T to give more details on why it wants to acquire T-Mobile.

The news comes after an unredacted copy of the document was accidentally uploaded to FCC?s Web site.

Since then, the filing has been replaced with an edited version.

AT&T is buying T-Mobile for $39 billion and claims that it must acquire T-Mobile to expand its LTE network to cover 95 percent of the U.S. population.

AT&T rolls out microsite, offers consumers tips
AT&T is showing metro Detroit consumers network enhancements via a new microsite.

Visitors to the new Focus: Detroit microsite immediately view a map of the Detroit area, and are prompted to select the city or town they're most interested in.

The hyper-local map displays specific network enhancements that AT&T has made in the area since the beginning of 2011.

Enhancements include new cell sites, broadband speed upgrades, capacity upgrades and network connection upgrades.

GeoQpons tops 1M active mobile subscribers
GeoQpons has more than one million active mobile shoppers ? the company?s app has been in the market less than 10 months.

The GeoQpons app helps shoppers find the latest deals from national retailers, restaurants, and local businesses.

The recently achieved milestone is validation of GeoQpons' appeal to both shoppers and businesses alike.

SoundHound, Spotify partner to offer music on the go
SoundHound and Spotify have teamed up to offer both free and paid SoundHound users in Europe instan access to Spotify?s catalogue of more than 15 million tracks.

SoundHound users on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices, who also subscribe to Spotify Premium in Europe will be given the option to ?Play Now in Spotify? after identifying a song through SoundHound.

If the user chooses the option, SoundHound will then seamlessly launch Spotify?s service, immediately playing the requested song while showcasing the requested artist?s singles, albums and compilations.
