FunMo has fun with Sarah Palin

Mobile phone users can now personalize their handset with sound bytes of the Governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

FunMobility has turned Ms. Palin's most memorable quotes into six free ring tones.

"FunMo.com is about using your phone to express yourself through mobile media," said Adam Lavine, founder/CEO of FunMobility, Pleasanton, CA. "Topical, buzzy content like this is perfect for FunMo and introduces people to what we are all about."
The ringtones include:

The first is called Foreign Policy Experience, which is derived from an interview with Katie Couric.

Ms. Palin's comments on Alaska and Russia have been mashed-up into an upbeat-sounding ring tone.

The second is called Lipstick on a Pig. It is a mash up of hockey, Barack Obama and pigs.

The third option is a ring tone of Ms. Palin's interpretation of the Bush Doctrine.

Also, there is the Shore up the Economy ring tone. It is another extracted clip with Katie Couric, of Palin's answer to how she would fix our economy.

The VIP Nominee ring tone is a Loony Tunes-sounding tone that celebrates Ms. Palin's loss of words and inability to finish a complete sentence.

"There are no ads supporting these ring tones," Mr. Lavine said. "We give them away free to try and encourage people to visit and use FunMo.com and hopefully buy something from us down the line."

FunMo.com is owned and operated by FunMobility. FunMobility delivers a mobile entertainment experience through mobile multimedia applications that enable consumers to connect and express themselves through mobile photos, videos, music, graphics and slideshows.

FunMobility distributes their applications through every North American carrier as well as direct to consumers through FunMo.com.

"I think mobile has changed this year's election immensely," Mr. Lavine said. "Obama in particular has been very forward-looking in using new technologies such as mobile, social networking and of course changing the fundraising landscape through the Web.

"The fact that he used SMS to announce Biden as his running mate was pretty cool," he said.
