Dive Insight:
Yahoo realizes that the digital world is shifting to mobile, and is clearly going on the offensive with the Mobile Developer Suite. According to the company's press release, the rollout is "an important step in Yahoo's evolution to a truly mobile-first company." eMarketer even reports that Yahoo is on track to move past Twitter to take the number three spot in mobile ad revenue in 2015, so clearly the company is on the right track.
Many of the products in the suite will be of interest to a marketer, but Yahoo App Marketing should be especially enticing. Using Yahoo Gemini, the product lets developers buy targeted native and video advertising spots across Yahoo's network, Tumblr, and thousands of other apps.
