ADVERTISING AGENCY RUPTURE SIGNS WITH SONY MUSIC FRANCE
Founded by Alexandre Sap (former Havas Worldwide executive), Rupture, a vanguard structure sheltering a new music label, a network or independent vinyl record stores and a leading edge advertising agency closed today an exclusive distribution agreement with Sony Music for France and the Orchard for the rest of the World.
Rupture Records will operate from Paris and New York, sharing the same offices than the eponymous agencies. The Parisian Rupture vinyl record store is already a success. The place is already the epicenter of epicenter of coolness in Paris. Two others Rupture stores will open in New York and Los Angeles in the summer.
First signatures includes projects from Canadian folk singer Alejandra Ribera, Human, the solo project from the lead singer of British band Grand National, the new album from Chris Stills, the solo album from Donald Cumming, leader of New York band The Virgins and last but not least, an extraordinary collaboration between Tunisian artist Mounir Troudi and legendary U2 producer Brian Eno.
The company will be lead by Alexandre Sap. Rupture being at the roundabout of all his past experiences, Alexandre will have the opportunity to maximize his own history: founder of music label Recall (he signed many Artists including The Servant, Jehro, Thomas Dydahl, Grand National, Mylo, Robots in Disguise, Fires Of Rome and Dan Black) of the Agency The Hours, then Forward. The Hours was first music label ever to have been integrated in a worldwide network of communication agencies, Havas. The Hours then became an hybrid agency combining music and marketing. Forward, a marketing agency has been the pioneer of Cultural communication.
Over the past 15 years, Alexandre Sap has developed many global campaigns for the most prestigious brands in the world such as Bally, Cartier, Hermès, Dom Perignon, Fendi, Mumm, Martell, Perrier-Jouët, Absolut Elyx, Estée Lauder, Swaroski, LVMH, Chanel, Hublot, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, and Galeries Lafayette. He signed collaboration with Artists like Jay Z for Hublot, Lady Gaga for michael Kors, Lou Reed, Marion Cotillard or Phoenix for Cartier, the Ting Tings for Tommy Hilfiger or J Cole with Bally.
