Firewood Marketing Holiday Giving Programs Award Over $56,000 to Bay Area Nonprofits
Employee-nominated groups support low-income youth, seniors, disaster assistance for undocumented families, and people with mental illness
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Dec. 18, 2017) – Firewood Marketing employees stepped up to support the community this holiday season by raising over $56,000 for Bay Area nonprofits through employee-driven holiday activities.
In Firewood’s annual Season of Giving program, employees nominated Hack the Hood, National Alliance on Mental Illness in San Francisco, Senior Access, and UndocuFund to be part of this year’s charitable donations made by the agency. Agency employees shared reasons why they nominated the organizations during Firewood’s recent holiday party. Each organization was selected to receive a $10,000 donation from Firewood.
Additionally, Firewood turned a November employee happy hour into a charitable giving opportunity to support victims of the recent fires in Napa and Sonoma counties, collectively raising more than $16,000 through employee donations matched by the agency. The funds were donated to the La Luz Center Fire Relief Fund that supports underserved families affected by the fires.
Employees are also supporting the community through a new Firewood Spark program launched in September, which provides pro bono digital marketing services for Bay Area nonprofits. Firewood’s digital marketing experts are offering their skills to help numerous charitable organizations. Services include setting up a Google Ad Grants nonprofit account, as well as consultation about Google AdWords search marketing strategy, keyword research, campaign building, YouTube’s nonprofit ads program, and paid social media outreach.
Nonprofit organizations may learn more and apply for pro bono digital marketing assistance through the program site at https://firewoodmarketing.com/giving-back/.
“Our employees are at the heart of Firewood’s charitable efforts, and we’re proud of their involvement in supporting the community,” said Lanya Zambrano, co-founder of Firewood. “From day one, we have always focused on giving back to our communities. This is part of the fabric and values we all share at Firewood. We look forward to further leveraging our resources to partner with many more organizations in the future.”
