Manila, PH: Solaire Resorts and Casino is bringing world-class entertainment to the country by hosting the live performance of the London-based band, WORKSHY, on August 10, 2018, 8 PM at the Theatre at Solaire.
Formed in 1986, WORKSHY is comprised of members Michael McDermott, Chrysta Jones, and Kevin Kehoe. After Kehoe left in 1992, McDermott and Jones continued the band as a duet.
WORKSHY was signed by Magnet Records in June 1987 and released their first album The Golden Mile in late 1989. To date, the duo has released 16 albums in total, with their latest Wayward in 2017.
The band is perhaps well known for their songs “Never The Same,” “Fascination,” and “You’re The Summer.” They rose to popularity with their covers of “I Say A Little Prayer,” “If I Ever Lose This Heaven” and “It’ Too Late.”
During their early years, WORKSHY was successfully able to establish a fanbase most notably in Japan and Southeast Asia. Tours started afterward, along with a few albums.
Although met with a brief hiatus in the mid-2000s, the UK duo stepped back into the game and are continuing to develop more music for their fans.
Their nostalgic and soulful sound from the 80s will envelop concertgoers as they play their signature sweet jazz musical style on the night of the concert.
