NASHVILLE, Tenn. — June 25, 2026 — Soundstripe, the music licensing platform built for creative pros, today launched Soundstripe LIVE, an ambient music assistant for video editors. Soundstripe LIVE is a macOS app that uses AI to read whichever window the user points it at (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or any other video editing tool) and suggest tracks from Soundstripe's catalog that fit the scene on screen.
For in-house brand teams and agency editors juggling multiple formats and tight client timelines, music selection can be one of the most time-consuming parts of the process. Soundstripe LIVE keeps that work inside the editor's existing flow. Editors open Soundstripe LIVE, scrub through their timeline, preview tracks as they go, and drag the right one directly into Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or any other video editing tool. Up to 10 recommendations appear per scene, and editors can like or dislike tracks to steer LIVE in a creative direction. Past scenes are saved to a history view so editors can revisit a choice without rebuilding context.
"There's nothing like this for video editors today," said Trevor Hinesley, Co-Founder and CTO, at Soundstripe. "Music search shouldn't pull you out of your edit, so we built Soundstripe LIVE to live where the editing already happens. It reads what's on screen, hands the editor real options from real artists, and gets out of the way."
Soundstripe LIVE draws from Soundstripe's catalog of tracks by real artists, including Grammy winners and rising independents. The app's patent-pending recommendation engine reads what's on the editor's screen in real time and matches the moment to tracks based on tone, tempo, and pacing. Although AI does the matching, the music itself is 100% human-made. With the right Soundstripe subscription, every track suggested through Soundstripe LIVE comes with a comprehensive commercial license covering social, broadcast, and beyond. That's the same license behind Soundstripe's work for brands like Nike, Pepsi, American Express, Netflix, and Microsoft. Soundstripe has paid more than $13 million in royalties to artists since launch.
