Frozen yogurt shop Maibury to launch mobile marketing program

Boulder, CO-based frozen yogurt and smoothie shop Maiberry has selected Mocapay to launch a mobile marketing program.

Mocapay, a mobile gift, loyalty and marketing service provider, will help Maiberry spread the word about its brand and build its database.

"After the opening of their flagship store in Boulder, CO, Maiberry wanted to reach their customers through various channels, one of which was mobile," said Kevin Grieve, CEO of Mocapay, Boulder, CO.

"Mocapay demonstrated their ability to create a two-way, interactive, and targeted mode of communication to Maiberry's new and existing customer base, which was exactly what Maiberry was looking for," he said.

Mocapay is a mobile commerce platform that supports integrated mobile payments, marketing and distribution at point-of-sale.

Maiberry is known for its all-natural and organic frozen yogurt and smoothies.

As consumers become increasingly dependent on their phones, establishing a mobile communication channel with them is instrumental for the growth of a business.

Maiberry hopes that as it continues to expand its stores into other areas that the mobile channel will help drive acquisition and retention through the development of a mobile database of health-conscious consumers.

The target demographics for the mobile marketing program and Maiberry are consumers searching for a healthy snack, as well as those who would like to receive special, exclusive offers on these types of treats.

Through various promotional events, collateral and SMS text campaigns, Maiberry will encourage consumers to visit their stores via special offers.

Maiberry is one among many businesses using Mocapay's services to communicate with consumers.

Doc Popcorn, a snack-food distributor in malls, sports arenas and concert venues, has launched its mobile "Pop In" card program for customer relationship marketing.

Doc Popcorn will roll out the mobile loyalty initiative starting with its Cherry Creek Mall location in Denver, CO. The popcorn company is partnering with Mocapay to grow Doc Popcorn's all-natural popcorn concept and brand as they continue to expand operations within and outside Colorado (see story).

"As consumers' choices continue to grow for healthy meals and treats, like smoothies and frozen yogurt, Mocapay enables Maiberry to reach customers on a one-to-one basis through its robust mobile marketing platform, bringing these consumers into Maiberry, instead of their competitor," Mr. Grieve said.

"Maiberry will be running several mobile marketing campaigns over the coming months to bring relevant and special offers to their customer base," he said. "There are no other partners currently involved in the partnership between Maiberry and Mocapay around the mobile marketing program."
