Handset maker Nokia today announces winners of its annual Mobile Rules! competition for innovative mobile business plans and cutting-edge applications, services and technology from developers and entrepreneurs worldwide.
MedApps, Scottsdale, AZ, won for best business plan for its MedApps Mobile Wireless Health Monitoring System.
The best mobile application for multimedia award went to MyStrands for its MyStrands social player.
Gamica took the award for best mobile application for multiplayer/connected games for its Sumo-Sumo entry.
Earthcomber LLC won the best mobile application - infotainment award for its Earthcomber application.
UpCode Ltd./UPC Consulting Ltd. took the best mobile application award for best mobile application - enterprise.
Genusion Inc.'s B4-Flash memory entry won the best technology innovation for future device architecture award.
Kareline Oy Ltd. took the best technology innovation for future touch and feel award for its Kareline Natural Composites entry.
Kannuu Inc. won for best innovation for mobile multimedia for its Kannuu entry.
The best technology innovation for user interface award was handed to Tiki'labs for its Tiki 6 keys entry.
This is the second year for the Mobile Rules! 08 competition.
The ceremony, which climaxes an eight-month selection process vetting hundreds of entries, is being held today at the San Jose City Hall in San Jose, CA.
