Bango Button lets users push content to mobile phones

Mobile technology provider Bango has launched the Get On My Mobile button, which allows users on social networks, media-sharing sites, forums and blogs to share their content via the mobile phone.

Bango's button works with sites such as Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr, Bebo, Friendster, LinkedIn, Blogger, Orkut and WordPress.

"Our strategy here is to make it easier for people to access and share their content on their PCs via their mobile phone, as it was really difficult to do this before," said Adam Kerr, vice president for North America at Bango, New York.

The Bango Button can link directly to photos stored on a PC Web site. Users don't need to make the content mobile-ready to locate them on a mobile site.

With this launch, Bango aims to help people publish content to mobile sites and get rid of any technical challenges. No mobile expertise is needed.

For example, consumers can link a Bango Button to a party photo on their Facebook site and let friends easily get it on their mobile phone without having to go onto Facebook Mobile and navigate around the site looking for the same photo.

"The Bango Button links to the photos on a PC site and automatically resizes them for different mobile phones according to screen-size and presenting the download page," Mr. Kerr said.
