- According to a Forrester report released Tuesday, B2B marketing budgets are set to increase by 6% in 2014.
- The report, done in conjunction with the Business Marketing Association, predicts that marketing budgets will increase from 2.5% two years ago to 4% of overall budgets this year, which is still behind pre-recession figures of 5% to 10%.
- Technology is a main focus, with 61% of marketers expecting to increase their technology spending over marketing communications programs.
B2B budgets, like pretty much all budgets, are still under pressure from economic forces. That there is an increase expected is a sign of slightly better times to come. Technology will certainly lead the way as more B2B marketers embrace and increase use of tech in their endeavors.
