- The annual SMB Internet Marketing Survey from BrightLocal revealed that 75% of small-to-medium sized businesses believe internet marketing is effective at attracting new customers.
- Of those SMBs, 83% spent less than $1,000 a month on marketing per month —with 70% spending less than $500.
- Thirty seven percent of SMB respondents plan to increase spending on online marketing in the next 12 months.
The positive numbers show that SMBs are gaining confidence in online marketing. That change in attitude is necessary for the smaller companies to stay competitive in the online focused world. Also, it shows that even though SMBs have modest marketing budgets—the dollars allocated to internet marketing are making an impact.
