- Microsoft has officially announced that Satya Nadella will be the new CEO.
- Previously the Executive Vice President of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group, Nadella has been with the company for 22 years.
- Founder Bill Gates will now be taking a more active role as Technology Advisor.
The new CEO appointment and new title for founder Bill Gates is reflective of what seems to be an executive restructuring at Microsoft. This announcement follows the ousting of long time ad sales exec Keith Lorizio. Nadella has some tough challenges ahead to revive a company's whose PC business is hurting and that has yet to make a splash in mobile.
