- Chris Garbutt, the chief creative officer at Ogilvy & Mather France, is set to become the chief creative officer of the agency's New York office.
- Garbutt will report to North American CCO Steve Simpson, and current O&M N.Y. CCO Calle Sjönell's role and influence will reportedly remain unchanged.
- In his new position, Garbutt will be responsible for the agency creative across disciplines including advertising, PR, customer relations, and digital.
It appears Garbutt's new role will give him more big picture responsibilities, which plays to his talents. Garbutt, a South African, has worked on global accounts in several countries and therefore seems well-suited for the variety of accounts he will be faced with in New York.
