The main advantage of the Marketo integration is that both sales and marketing teams will have access to the same unified view of the customer across the sales process. Rather than two teams producing reports of their own data, they can work together on common goals. Ultimately, that's the point of marketing or sales software — providing insight into what improvements can be made to reach the customer, regardless of the team.
Marketo has been working to collaborate and integrate with multiple CRM and sales platforms as of late. Also this week, the marketing software provider announced a collaboration with SugarCRM. The partnership aligns marketing and sales activities, similar to its integration with ToutApp.
