- Sprint announced the departure of Chief Sales Officer Paget Alves, a longtime employee of the company, and his responsibilities will now be split between Enterpirse Solutions President Matt Carter, prepaid sales head Dow Draper, and retail sales and store operations chief Bob Johnson.
- Chief Marketing Officer Bill Malloy is also retiring at the beginning of the first quarter next year.
- Whether the changes were a result of subscriber loss is currently unknown.
Analyst predictions are not great for the wireless carrier. One analyst recently changed his predictions for 2014 to 100,000 new subscribers and 1.2 million loses. The slow pace of Sprint's network overhaul is taking the brunt of the blame. While Sprint and SoftBank are wanting to cut costs, being able to market an improved network may help it regain customers.
