Mobile is a major channel for marketers, and two mobile tech firms have teamed up to offer marketers location-based technology to improve their efforts. Swrve, a mobile marketing automation company, and Plot Projects, a company offering location-based marketing technology for mobile apps, have partnered to offer marketers new technology that will provide real-time access to location data. It will allow them to push messaging and in-app campaigns based on where their audience is at a given time, how long they’ve been there and even based around when they arrive at or leave that location. Marketers have found being able to send these types of highly relevant mobile messages is an effective tactic and a potential strength of the mobile channel.
