- According to eMarketer, mobile ads are on track to overtake both print and radio ads this year.
- Mobile ads are predicted to hit 9.8% saturation in the ad marketplace, compared to newspapers (9.3%), radio (8.6%), and magazines (8.4%).
- Brands are spending 83% more on phone and tablet ads this year than in 2013.
It really shouldn't be a surprise that mobile ads are now taking over print and radio — audiences are shifting and mobile is growing. Smartphones and tablets have mostly replaced newspapers on the morning train. In the years to come, the gap between mobile and other forms of advertising will likely grow.
