- While waiting for their huge deal with Omnicom to form Publicis Omnicom, the world's largest ad agency, Publicis has acquired Columbus, Ohio-based advertising and digital services agency Engauge Marketing.
- Engauge's initial goal was to grow through acquisitions of agencies in direct marketing, behavioral targeting and data analytics, but those plans slowed after the recession.
- The acquisition will include Engauge's 250 employees; the agency's major client roster includes Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola and Nationwide Insurance.
From the article:
"Engauge will keep its name and report to a Publicis agency named Moxie, which is a division of the ZenithOptimedia Group at Publicis. Moxie has about 350 employees at its headquarters in Atlanta and offices in Los Angeles and New York."
