- SumAll, a business analytics tool, has released a study that ranks Instagram as the best social media platform for brands.
- The study looked at all brands with over 25 fans on four of the big platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google+.
- Brands that used Instagram saw on average a 7% growth in both followers and engagement in 2013, as well as a revenue lift of 1.5% to 5%.
Instagram may be justifying its $1 billion price tag to Facebook with the proven value demonstrated in this study. Whenever you can draw a line from social media use to revenue, the value exponentially increases. The image-based nature of the platform is an advantage to most brands with a visual story to tell.
