This integration allows marketers to create Facebook-ready newsletters and updates that are automatically targeted for an audience based on Facebook’s Lookalike targeting protocol. Wix users can create this collateral at no cost and only have to pay for the Facebook ad. This announcement comes on the heels of another new resource for Wix users, an online webmaster training course, WixEd. In a Venture Beat article the company said the idea for these features is to develop “the industry’s only [do-it yourself] one-stop shop for a small business where users can not only create a beautiful website but also manage and grow a business.”
The social network pioneer has been busy with other changes that impact marketers on the platform including an algorithm change that emphasizes video on user’s news feeds, testing of new cost-per-view pricing model for video ads, ad revenue sharing with video partners, and a new way for users to gain more control over their new feeds by choosing what appears top of site.
